We finally did it! Ash came over last week with a box full of pear and we made two batches of jam. Orange Blossom Pear Jam and Vanilla Pear Jam.
There was lots of chopping, and a few… modifications. Maybe a burning towel and mis-used tongs. But we had fun, we got through it, ALL of our jars sealed and the jams both tasted wonderful! However, we both agreed that the Orange Blossom Pear Jam was the better of the two.
I have invested in another canning book, Canning for a New Generation – the recipes look great so I’m excited for The Joy of Canning, Round 2.
